What to Expect at your Wedding Consultation.

Sending an invitation to your wedding is an exciting part of the planning! You are literally about to share your joy with all of your very favorite people… what could be more special than that? Scheduled consultations will take place at our cozy little studio with a Staff Design Consultant, someone trained in traditional invitation etiquette, printing methods and techniques, and design options. We are here to help you with verbiage and wording, design details, and help handle all of the ins and outs of the invitation process, from timeline to addressing! Consultations typically last around an hour and a half. You’ll have a chance to look through many invitation styles and samples, and your Design Consultant will help you narrow down exactly what best suits your taste and budget.

How Much should I budget?

Each one of our invitations is handled by real people from start to finish—nothing is automated. We design each invitation suite and hold your hand during the entire invitation process, from wording to design to printing to envelope addressing to stamping and mailing! Pricing can vary according to design, quantity ordered, parts and pieces needed, and final design choices. An average letterpress wedding suite invoice is around $1,700 for a quantity of 100 invites, envelopes, reply cards, and reply envelopes. An average flat printed wedding suite invoice is around $1,450 for a quantity of 100 invites, envelopes, reply cards, and reply envelopes.

How it Works

Once we’ve determined what design look and feel you’d like to use for your invitation, we are ready to roll! We require a $450 non-refundable deposit on flat printed invitations, and an $850 deposit on letterpress invitations. Once we have the deposit in-hand, we will email over your Welcome Packet. The Welcome Packet contains:

  • Calligraphy Packet: shows styles and pricing for calligraphers we use and love

  • Production Calendar: keeps us on track for your proofs, printing, and delivery date

  • Content Request: who, what, where, when! Everything we need for content to pull together your first invitation proof.

Once we have the Content Request filled out and returned to us, and you’ve approved the Production Calendar Timeline, then we will begin the proofing process. All proofs are digital via email pdf. All of our pricing includes FOUR proof rounds (additional proofs cost $45). All jobs must be approved prior to printing. 

Print time takes 3 weeks for letterpress jobs and 2 weeks for flat print jobs. Upgrades such as envelope addressing and specialty printing processes (foil, painted and beveled edges, custom envelope liners) can increase turn-around time. 

Balance is due at time of pickup or shipping these gorgeous invites into your hot little hands!
